This Returns & Refunds Policy explains your rights and our process for returns, refunds, and faulty goods purchased from Mugen Anime, a brand operated by RRP Trading Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”).
This policy works alongside your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA) and the Fair Trading Act 1986. Nothing in this policy limits or replaces those rights.
1. Your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act
Where you buy goods as a consumer, the CGA guarantees that goods will:
• Be of acceptable quality.
• Match their description.
• Be fit for any purpose you told us about before purchase.
If goods fail to meet a consumer guarantee, you are entitled to a remedy. For a minor fault, we may choose to repair, replace, or refund. For a major fault, you may choose between a replacement, refund, or keeping the item and seeking compensation for the drop in value.
2. Faulty, damaged, or incorrect items
We carefully pack and check all orders. If your item arrives faulty, damaged, or is not what you ordered, please contact us within 7 days of receiving it. To help us resolve it quickly, please include:
• Your order number.
• A description of the issue.
• Clear photos of the item and any packaging damage.
If the item is confirmed faulty, damaged in transit, or incorrect, we will arrange a repair, replacement, or refund in line with your CGA rights, and we will cover any return shipping costs for that item.
3. Change-of-mind returns
We do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind.
Please choose carefully and read product descriptions, condition notes, and images before purchasing. This does not affect your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act for goods that are faulty or not as described.
4. Pre-loved and built/painted items
• Pre-loved, built, or painted items are sold in the condition described in their listing, including any noted flaws.
• Because these items are second-hand or hand-finished, minor signs of wear are expected and are not considered faults.
• Your CGA right to goods that match their description still applies — if a pre-loved item is materially different from how it was described, please contact us.
5. How to make a claim
To request a return or report a problem, email us at rrptradingnz@gmail.com with your order number and details. We will respond and, where a return is required, provide instructions.
Please do not send items back before contacting us, as unauthorised returns may not be processed.
6. Return shipping costs
• For faulty, damaged, or incorrect items, we cover return shipping.
• Where a return is required for any reason other than a fault (for example, where we have agreed to accept a return at our discretion), you are responsible for return shipping costs.
• We recommend using a tracked service, as we cannot process a return for an item we do not receive.
7. Refund processing
• Approved refunds are made to your original payment method.
• Please allow a reasonable processing time once we have received and inspected the returned item, or confirmed the fault.
• Original shipping charges are refunded only where the item was faulty, damaged, or incorrect.
